I’m Holly Zhao, a passionate designer creating clean, human-centered digital experiences. I help products and brands build trust and lasting affinity through thoughtful design and purposeful solutions.
Holly Zhao is a UI/UX designer who focuses on combining clear interaction logic with a warm and engaging visual system, making digital products not only user-friendly but also more trustworthy. She previously studied and worked in London, UK, and currently lives and creates in Los Angeles, CA, continuously exploring the connections between technology, storytelling, and everyday experiences.
She holds a BA (First-Class Honors) in Graphic & Media Design from the University of the Arts London, and is completing an MFA in Media Design Practices at ArtCenter College of Design. Her work blends product thinking with strong visual storytelling, often drawing from motion, 3D, and prototyping to bring interfaces to life.
In practice, Holly has experience in both rapid-iteration product and interface design, and is also familiar with maintaining experiential consistency within a brand context. She previously worked on visual and marketing design at Dolls Kill, brand and communication design at the UCCA, and collaborated with Studio La Plage and charity Food Behind Bars on a project aimed at improving the health and well-being of prisoners through food-focused education. She hopes her designs can help products and brands build trust, increase preference, and create long-term emotional connections, transforming every click into a smoother, more reassuring user experience through thoughtful user insights, restrained yet precise interactions, and more engaging experiential details.
